Paris: Montmartre street view of Sacré-Cœur Basilica

—-

And these streets

they falter

under the weight

of it all:

the joy,

the despair,

the endless

striving

for something,

anything

to

hold onto.

Taken on an afternoon in Paris with my Sony A7R while wandering around Montmartre for hours with no particular plan.

Sometimes those are the best kind of afternoons.

Paris - Montmartre

Paris lingers long in the synapses of memory.

It winds its way into dreams and into the edges of lingering conversation long after you explore its streets

This is a cat on a street in Montmartre right outside of a beautiful cemetery. I took this photo on a gorgeous morning while climbing the hills the Montmartre to get to the beautiful Sacré-Cœur Basilica.

If you are in or around Toronto, Canada for the next few days, there is a huge imaging and photography show called that is happening from today to Sunday (May 23rd to the 25th).

I will be speaking a few times today at the Sony booth about travel and mobile photography (this photo is included in one of my presentations!). I will be speaking about my experiences using both the QX100 and the a7R while traveling. Come and say hello if you are around! :)
