There is nothing like a snowy winter day especially around holiday time. But truthfully, sometimes the snow and rain and incessant lack of sunlight can really wear you down though.
Sometimes a mini tropical escape is just what is needed to cope…
Right?
When you have something like this to look forward to, it makes everything way more bearable.
Myself and a will be going on a surprise tropical getaway courtesy of in December and I want you to be a part of the surprise and also maybe go on your own trip!
What does this mean? This means that you (yes, you!) will also have a chance to go on your own trip with Southwest Airlines to any of the 12 destinations that we will be embarking on.
These destinations include (get ready to drool): Cabo, Mexico City, Aruba, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Belize, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas…and that’s just a small sampling of the destinations!
Awesome, right?
You could be kicking back and enjoying views like this!
How can you become a part of this adventure?
I am going to reveal where I am going in a Facebook Live video on on Friday, December 2nd at 12:00 PM EST.
I don’t even know where I am going yet! This fact is super exciting since I’ve never gone on a surprise trip ever in my life!
I will also be doing a giveaway in the form of a $500 Southwest gift card during that reveal.
Because there are 12 of us traveling, that means that there will be 12 lucky winners chosen to receive 1 $500 Southwest gift card each. Yup!
1. Spot the #SouthwestPassport giveaway prop in a photo from each of the 12 travelers WHILE they are on their adventures. They will be taking a photo with the prop WHILE in their destinations. .
2. Post that photo of them with their prop on Instagram or Twitter with #SouthwestPassport and #[Destination]Giveaway (example: #ArubaGiveaway).
3. Mention in your post why you want to visit that destination.
4. You can enter 12 times, once for each traveler.
5. Sad note: A FB posting will not count for this. Your post with the hashtags must be on Twitter or Instagram only.
6. WAIT! HOW DO I FIND YOU?
Don’t worry. I gotchu.
Full disclosure: This post is sponsored and was written by me through an activation with HireInfluence on behalf of Southwest Airlines.
All photos in this are mine taken in New York City and in the Caribbean.

Arctic sunset. Near the North Pole. One of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. Haunted by it in all the best ways. (at Tanquary Glacier)

Will never forget moments like this, when snow was just a whisper of a thought and when the mountains jutted up from the water like heartbeats.
I stood there for as long as I could, my face caressed by the cold until all of the voices of ghosts from the past who proclaimed that I was not good enough, that I was not ever enough, that I was not enough of enough were drowned out by nature’s roaring silence, exorcised across the sea up through a parting in the clouds.
And for the first time ever my heart was as vast and wild as the landscape that stretched out before me, my future unfolding on the waves dark and mysterious and full of promise.

The Arctic and our icebreaker as the sun stretched its hand over the mountains. Seen from a helicopter (the best!). (at Greenland)

Sunrise in the Arctic near the North Pole at Mount Timmia (81.4 degrees latitude). There are sunrises that feel like heartbeats skipping in anticipation, when the heart skips in tune with the planets rhythm. This was one of those sunrises. (at Quttinirpaaq National Park)
